Tax, fiscal and accounting services

Our aim is to provide comprehensive tax planning and advisory services in Spain, tailored to the needs of our English-speaking clients. If you have purchased a property in Spain, we can assist you with Wealth Tax, Income Tax and Property Tax. Please note that these three taxes must be paid annually after the purchase.

Once you own a property in Spain, all non-residents are subject to three taxes each year: Non-Resident Income Tax. Non-resident property owners in Spain are subject to this tax. Even where no actual income is received, a taxable base of 2% is applied to the property’s cadastral value, with 25% of that 2% charged as a form of deemed income.

Any actual income obtained in Spain, such as rental income, must also be included in this tax return. This tax return is due by 31 December each year; after this deadline, late-payment interest may apply. If you own more than one property in Spain, the filing deadline is 30 June each year.

Wealth Tax. If you are not resident in Spain, you may be required to pay Wealth Tax, which applies to all your assets located in Spain.

These assets may include real estate, bank accounts, shares, bonds and many other assets of significant value. The applicable tax rate is generally low, although it may increase depending on the value of the assets.

This tax return is due by 31 December each year, and late filing may result in interest charges. If you own more than one property in Spain, the return is due by 30 June.

Property Tax. This tax is issued directly by the local council where your property is located and varies depending on the area. It may also cover additional municipal services, such as waste collection.

IBI must be paid annually in a single payment between 15 September and 15 November.
